Balenciaga Museum opens a showroom to sell local designers creations

You can apply with your project until the 11th of June

The Cristobal Balenciaga Museum has opened a
call to select the projects that will be showcased in their new selling showroom aimed at local designers and brands. The initiative, that will take place from
July to December and is limited to designers from the Basque Country, aims to “give
visibility to the talent of local artists, artisans, designers and brands” and
is part of the 100th anniversary of the opening of Cristobal
Balenciaga’s first boutique in San Sebastián.

Six collections will be selected, and they must stick
to categories related to fashion design, such as shawls, handbags, jewelry, hats,
headdresses, belts, shoes or garments”. The designs must be originals from the
author, although exclusivity is not necessary.
