DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
The most important point is volume. There are silhouettes and volumes made by wrapping a big sofa. Colors that I imaged are from Japanese poster of Taisho period. I used sweat fabric, and check (plaids) pattern because I was thinking of a collection for autumn and winter.
INSPIRATION
My theme is “ROMAN”. I selected this word as a theme because I feel it conveys atmosphere of Taisho period very well. There is a word “romantic”. It has some meanings and images such as dreamy, floating, attractive and enigmatic mood so I included those images in my design.
MATERIALS USED
I used 100% cotton fabric because I mainly considered texture that feels nice. I also selected solid fabric because of thinking about fabric of sofa. I used red for the color because the red on the original inspiration image was impressive. Check (plaids) pattern that I mostly used are made by images of Shoji (Japanese traditional door).
