DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

I thought up my theme for this collection from a photo book of Nelson.Design approach that I used is wrapping technique to make unexpected beautiful silhouette, volumes and lines that are applied to my design.I made original fabrics using colors from visual.

INSPIRATION

 

I got inspiration from a Jimmy Nelson photo book, portraying the daily life struggles of an ethnic minority in a freezing environment. They treasure their own tradition and culture and also coexist with nature. They acknowledge all the living creatures because they have to hunt for living.I also got inspiration from their accessories made by delicate handcrafting.

MATERIALS USED

I picked up 6 colors from my main visual to make an original tweed. I mixed different kinds of yarn as well like wool, linen, vinyl and nylon. I also use men’s image fabrics for military or work wear to express strongly living ethnics.
