DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

It’s a work with lots of details like the canvas made with shoe laces.With regards to the printing, it was painted with watercolor technique in order to get the right prints.These garments take a lot of work and they were constructed mixing pattern cutting and moulage.

INSPIRATION

 

My source of inspiration is the sea, taking sea creatures as inspiration for silhouettes and cuts. The printing represent the stains one can see from the surface of the sea, from an aereal perspective or simply seen from a boat and they represent sea reefs.The laces represent the sea waves.

MATERIALS USED

Laces for experimentation, dying for the prints, natural and synthetic fabrics ( depending on the area of the garment in order to get the suitable volumes), fastening with push buttons and zippers.
