Egg. Egg hammer. Egg box. Individuals are constantly deconstructed and reconstructed. Changing under conflict. ‘REBIRTH’ starts with 5g eggshells. Made from tens of thousands of grams of eggshells collected from London.
This project is inspired by the metaphor of rebirth brought about by the hero’s epiphany, Emil Sinclair, in the literary work Damian by German writer Hermann Hesse.
‘The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Whoever will be born must destroy the world.”
