Muebles Vagabundos
The Vagabond Furniture represents the souls of the furniture that we no longer use and discard next to the rubbish on the street. These pieces of furniture are still part of the lives of people, neighbors and even family. When they are left there, a critical point in their lives is raised, are they trash or treasures?
For this project I was literally inspired by the geometric and intersecting shapes of the furniture. I represented the fusion of these in the modeling technique on a paper mannequin, to capture its body and its volume. I have also wanted to give a unique apparent personality to the homeless furniture.
With the materials I have represented personalities, thus contrasting the classic furniture with the incorporation of velvety fabric, with the more urban furniture with more technical fabrics. This collection is characterized by the succession of shapes and geometric stitching to give the garments a technical look.
