The collection is named after a small nature reserve on the countryside of the Netherlands, “Haveszate S”. By capturing physical interactions in this area, I created a series of experimental movements. I translated these movements into abstract patterns that turned into sustainable silhouettes disconnected from trends and styles.

The collection is inspired by the connection I have with “Haveszate S”. Next to this personal inspiration, counterculture book “Shelters’ by Lloyd Kahn, 1973 played a huge part of my research. The book illustrates organic design and architecture based upon close observation of weather patterns, changing seasons and available materials.

The materials I use are (in)directly coming from the “Haveszate S” which makes the garments inseparable from its origin. In this globalised and industrialised world, I want to reconnect the garments with its ancestral home and with that bring back its emotional value.
