Body shakers
“BODY-SHAKERS” is an experimental project involving nature, body movement, and sensory perception. Wearable works generate sound through physical motion, enhancing sensory experiences of hearing, sight, and touch. In a dance performance, it explores the possibilities of works to stimulate body movement and sensory perception in an embodied group interaction.
Inspired by modern society’s overreliance on digital devices, “BODY-SHAKERS” seeks to counteract disembodiment by drawing from shamanism’s emphasis on embodied practice. It explores how body movement and sensory perception can restore our connection to the physical world.
“BODY-SHAKERS” are a series of interactive fashion artefacts made from natural materials such as bone, horn, and wood collected from beaches, forests, and food waste. In addition, brass and leather connect these diverse elements, enhancing the project’s exploration of natural material integration.
