This project develops a micro-collection of accessories translating graphic and formal elements from the Middle Ages into a contemporary design language. Through abstraction, shifts in scale, and recomposition, the pieces construct an archaeo-futuristic aesthetic, where ancient forms are reactivated as forward-looking structures.
The collection draws on motifs, volumes, and constructive logics from the Middle Ages, including architecture, ornament, and armor. These references are extracted from their historical context and transformed to explore a non-linear temporality, where past and future coexist within a shared formal vocabulary.
The pieces combine wood, leather, and metal. Wood is shaped using a volumetric marquetry technique developed by the designer, enabling the construction of structured and dynamic surfaces. The assemblies create tension between rigidity and flexibility, producing hybrid forms between historical artifact and speculative projection.
