This project explores the potential of additive manufacturing to create textiles. It examines how innovative techniques can dialogue with traditional ones to develop a new language, where craftsmanship and technology merge into a forward-thinking, avant-garde proposal.
The inspiration comes from the modernist stained glass found in my city, Barcelona, particularly how light passes through them, creating unique transparencies and colors. Macramé is reinterpreted, using existing samples as references and translating them into the language of 3D printing.
To achieve flexibility through 3D printing, TPU has been used. The main advantage of this technique is waste reduction, as it allows printing only what is necessary, optimizing resources and promoting sustainability.
