Patchscape is a 3-look upcycled collection where heritage silhouettes meet contemporary materials shaped by pollution and mass production. Discarded materials are transformed into structured garments, merging traditional craft with contemporary techniques. The pieces function as wearable collages between fashion, sculpture, and material research.
Patchscape is a reinterpretation of the Transylvanian folk costume through today’s material reality. Traditional forms encounter disrupted environments shaped by pollution and mass production. Rooted in historic resourcefulness, the project reflects a landscape marked by plastic rivers and waste. Through patchwork and textile collage, chaos is reorganized into structure, reconstructing heritage within the present.
The main materials used to create Patchscape are industrial leftover knitwear, post-consumer cotton T-shirts, and cotton bedsheets. It incorporates waste from sublimation printing, recycled plastic from melted shopping bags, and post-consumer HDPE plastic.
