“Motherland” is a collection about worshipping female strength and fertility power. Inspired by primal goddesses and rebellious Chinese women, it blends organic and technical elements, marrying strength with womanhood. Geometric patterns, leather, and transparent knitwear intertwine, echoing resilience and femininity. It’s a statement I want to deliver: women are more than objects, they’re forces of nature. 

“Motherland” draws from personal experiences of feeling marginalized as a Chinese woman. The silhouettes are inspired by Indian goddess sculptures by Mrinalini Mukherjee and fierce Chinese women captured by Chinese photographer Luo Yang, the collection embraces strength and rebellion. Organic and technical contrasts symbolize resilience, while transparency echoes vulnerability within empowerment.

All burgundy-colored knits are made with a mix of raw silk yarn and nylon yarn, and are attached with metal eyelets by hand. The macramé dress is handcrafted with waxed cotton cords and crinoline tubes. The biker pants are made with eco-leather and decorated with nylon tube macramé.
