Aisthès consists of three garments composed by several irregular sections made in shirred tulle joint together to create shapes and volumes that wrap the body and generate an ethereal silhouette. The shirrs and ruffles appeal to the sense of touch through the resulting textures.
The ever present idea of wrapping in the paintings of Joseba Eskubi, the wrapped monuments of Christo, Bart Hes’ art installations, the “Cristo Velato” of Giuseppe Sanmartino or antique undergarments…The idea of interiority defined by Wassily Kandinsky in his book “Point and Line to Plane”.
Main materials: tulle, color thread. Different tones and tulle qualities have been used to create contrasts and textures. Experimenting with the material has been key, resulting in an alteration of the visual and inherent quality of the fabrics used. For the interior finishings and fastening: reticulated organza tulle, batiste bias binding, hook and eye fastenings.
