The artist paintings are very flat and I choose to pass this flattening at the dress’s, which combine army uniform and Jewish religious suit. I took toys of airplanes, weapons and decorate and knitted them in a childish way. The fact that those are toys, combine with their colorfulness, hides their real purpose: tools of war.
My inspiration came from an Israeli artist named Arik Eliyahu Bokobza whose works seem to be very pleasant, colorful and naive, but they hide criticism of Israeli society and politics. He discussed about militarism and religion, he painted the seven wars of Israel in a very pop art way, I have connected it to my experience at the Israeli air force.
