These looks belong to a collection based in the world of orchids. They represent a flower of complex nature and this is reflected in the details of each garment. The three orchids represented are the following varieties: Grammatophyllum, Uniflora and Phalaenopsis. Each of these looks is composed by two pattern design techniques, the traditional one and the moulage, resulting in different cuts and volumes identifying each flower.
My source of inspiration is nature, the most striking expression of artistic purity.
I hand paint the fabrics myself, simulating the orchids’ stains, searching for synergies between art and fashion, because, in my opinion, fashion is a form of art. I use a moulage technique to represent the artistic side of pattern design, getting volumes and shapes that I could not get with other techniques.
