John Zucca (Chia-Hung Chen), finalist of our international fashion contest in the2014 and 2016 editions has launched a new collection.

John Zucca Cheng (Chia-Hung Cheng) is an emerging fashion designer from Taiwan, who was one of the finalists in our international fashion contest back in 2014 and 2016. John was also awarded with the first prize in the Taiwan Fashion Design Award in 2008, and has collaborated with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei.

He moved to Milan in 2014 when he participated in our international fashion competition and was featured in Vogue Italy along with other BIAAF’s finalists. He is a fashion designer who discovers the culture and chronology of the fashion industry. And he tries to encourage people to show their diversity.

The inspiration for his latest collection comes from Orson Welles’ film “The Trial”.The silhouettes of the collection refers to scenography and cinematography and accentuates the dramatic search for the opposite of proportions.

The images below show the pieces that he presented to our contest and his collection and you can see a clear study of the silhouette as the main design element.
