DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

The development of this capsule is carried out through the combination of fabrics, prints and graphic design identifying these two cultures; the rural and underground. It is from here that I begin to create a representative aesthetic with features typical of the development of rural societies in Spain, which are shared with societies in other countries of the world.

INSPIRATION

 

The capsule “Back to the countryside”, arises from a motivation to merge all that rural culture of the Levante area during the 80’s and late 90’s, with more current movements typical of underground cultures. Crudely transmit parts of both societies that remain hidden in society.

MATERIALS USED

To carry out this capsule, I reuse fabrics such as jute, which were originally used to create bags for feed, coffee or others. This fabric becomes the main one, and around it, a series of handcrafted prints are combined that give a graphic sense to the aesthetic, together with representative accessories that enhance the message.
