DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

In this collection, I am telling the story of ‘a day of snow in Belgium’ and the ephemeral, ever-changing nature of snow, creating different shapes and silhouettes as it melts.

INSPIRATION

 

My collection connects snow in Belgium with “Arte Povera”. Snow for the shape, color and processing of materials.” Arte Povera” refers to the use of “poor materials” in the creation of art, as an early wink to ecological and social awareness.

MATERIALS USED

I have used plastic bags, felt, mesh and some paillettes.
