DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

Added means to ornament too much. The body of garment is designed based on functional wear such as work and military wear to emphasize nonfunctional ornaments. I would like to show the function of nonfunctional ornaments in fashion aspect with presenting these a lot of ornaments.

INSPIRATION

 

As functional wear, I researched work shirts,trench coats, denim jeans, etc. As nonfunctional ornaments, the leaf of maidenhair tree inspired me. In Autumn, When I was working around Kyoto,not only the tree but also the city of Kyoto were ornamented by a lots of these leaves.

MATERIALS USED

Cotton gabardine, Denim, linen, ribbon, beads, wool threads, cotton, fake leather, button and etc.
