Salvatore Ferragamo: 1927 The Return to Italy

The exhibition shows some of the most important Italian masterpieces of the 20s

Until May 2018, the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum of Florence will showcase the new exhibition dedicated to the "showmaker of the stars": 1927, the Return to Italy. Curated by Carlo Sisi, the display delves into the visual memory of Italy in the period after the Great War. As a celebration for the 90th anniversary of the designer’s return to Italy, the exhibition showcases pieces from some of the most important Italian artists of the 1920s, such as Mino Maccari, Alberto Ottone Rosai, Giacomo Balla or Giò Ponti. The presentation also includes shoes created by Ferragamo himself during this period of time, showing the dialogue between fashion and art.

As part of the exhibition, the brand has also created a capsule, limited edition collection of the same name that includes six models of shoes originally designed by Ferragamo during the 20s and 30s.
