íSoul of Glassí, Aristocrazy Design Bootcamp
A BIAAF project in collaboration with Aristocrazy.
The past 14, 15 and 16 February, eight designers belonging to some of the most important fashion schools in the world and selected by a committee of experts, integrated by BIAAF, participated in the Aristocrazy Design Bootcamp 2019 within the framework of Madrid Design Festival. Designers of the Royal Academy of Antwerp, the Shenkar School of Israel, the FIT of New York and designers of BIAAF were able to enjoy this project of co-creation and support for emerging young and creative talent.
Supervised by Mayice design studio, the ’Soul of Glass’ program aimed to promote the crystal, one of the most complex, delicate and magical materials in the creation of all kinds of pieces. Together they were able to enjoy a masterclass taught by the master glazier Javier Pérez Valero in the Museum of the Real Fábrica de Cristales located in La Granja de San Ildefonso. The participants worked with concepts, ideas and forms to create a unique piece that represented the values of a jewel.
